What are Craftwood shutters made of?

The craftwood is a composite shutter range. It has stiles that have been engineered using natural wood bonded together in multiple layers giving great strength ensuring that the panel does not twist or warp. Then laminated in high grade MDF finished by an extremely durable patented polypropylene (PP) coating the ultimate damage resistance and UV protection.

The Craftwood shutter is a fantastic product and suited best in a typical window size and design. Because its man made material it does have a few design limitations and is also a bit heavier than the natural materials but so much more durable.
If your windows will come into direct contact with water or high levels of moisture, we recommend choosing our Waterproof range.

We picked ideal shutters over other slightly more competitive companies because the installers are all... trained carpenters and the knowledge of their product was excellent. There is a long lead time on these products but we'll worth the wait. They fitted seven windows in my mother in laws flat in a day. What can i say first call got a bubbly lady who amongst her questions did not ask me to supply window sizes... just gave me a rough idea in meters square of cost so I had an idea of cost along with I can get my engineer to visit to give you a full quote at no obligation if you would like.We arranged the quotation visit that was a lot of fun ,quote.
